I don't see the big deal about Youtube ads. Just wait 5 seconds for the skip button to appear or wait about 10-25 more, and just do something while you wait.
Now TV ads... *growls*
Edit: Sounds like some people get 3 minute unskippable ads. Well, that sucks for you guys.
