Yes but the people who actually made the video get paid for however many people see their ads.
Example:
Lets say 30,000,000 people watch a video.
The person who made the video gets a certain amount of money for the number of those viewers who viewed the ad.
If 15,000,000 of those viewers had ad blocker, then the person or company who made the video just lost a lot of money.

yeah, but I don't want to see the ad, so I don't want to pay them for seeing the ad. I'm not in the advertiser's target demographic anyway, and me seeing the ad is acutally losing the advertiser money because they paid for an ad to be shown to someone who definitely won't buy their product.[/quote]
People get paid for ads based on how many views the ad gets, not how many people go on to buy the product.
