• Why is it a FPS. Did BUNGIE call you up and say ,"Hey MastaSin, we have thought long and hard about this and ,well we decided to cut the third person view choice completly."Not trying to be rude ,so i apologise if I come off as being rude.

  • Because Bungie refuses to call it an MMO, and are instead calling it a Shared World Shooter. I don't know about the third person thing, but most it's going to lack most of the traditional MMO features.

Well Apotheosis,no where in my comment did I say it was an MMO.I dont play MMO,so I dont feel i have enough knowledge to argue on its behalf. My point against MastaSin is that no one has said that its straight FPS with no choice of third person view what so ever.I bring third person view into it because if theres no choice of view other than first person, thats the only thing that could even qualify this game to be called FPS,and I havent seen one bit of confirmation from Bungie saying its first person.I personally think that with the level of customization they are going to give us,it would be crazy to make it strictly an FPS.Mainly because if we all go customizing our Hero's we will want to be able to check our characters out when we are not busy searching the solar system for new armor and weapon mods.I know I will want to check out how bad a$$ my character looks.,.Just my opinion.

  • It is a predominantly first person shooter, but there are elements of other genres crammed in there. They have mentioned that you might be able to break out of first person to see your character in social hubs which could be good but I imagine all of the combat scenarios will be first person (excluding vehicles).
