Which one and why?
-
The Covenant War because I liked when the Forerunners were mysterious.
-
The Great Schism, with the ancient past stories involving the Forerunners, Flood and Precursors being a very close second. Everything else is just backdrop; filler, basically, in my opinion.
-
Great Schism. Yet the Covenant War has a lot to be expanded on. ODST was a decent start but there should be more.
-
The insurrection! Where Johnson became awesome!
-
Covenant War and the Kilo-Five series.
-
I voted Covenant War, but the Insurrection is a really close second, and I'd really love to see a game about it.
-
Covenant war(why?) because its what fueled such a great series.
-
The Precursor/Ancient Human/Forerunner period up to the Reintroduction period after IsoDidact fires the Halos, without a doubt. It covers 10 billion years of history, it could stand as a separate universe itself. The whole period is like a twisted, Lovecraftian cosmic game filled with personal tragedies, mystery and awe - moreso than the rest of the series. The only post-war plot thread I have really enjoyed is the small snippets we've seen of ONI gradually piecing together the Precursor/Ancient Human/Forerunner story through Bornstellar, Chakas and Catalog. The Insurrection and Human-Covenant war got dragged out for so long it got pretty dull.
-
Forerunner vs Human both ancient and modern.
-
Anything from the Forerunner trilogy.
-
The Great Schism because of teaming with the Sangheili. ... and because Halo 2 and 3.
-
Covenant War/Great Schism because it shows that after many years of holding out (albeit somewhat poorly) against the Covenant, humanity managed to pull out and survive. Also, I support Elites so those wars in which the elites are the coolest also have my support. :)
-
The penises
-
precursor-forerunner because bungie and 343i never shed much light on it, which, in my opinion would make a great game to play. Seeing first-hand how the mysterious forerunners defeated an even more mysterious and advanced civilization that might be the creators of the flood, the ones who basically took the forerunner empire out.
-
It's nice to see things other than the Great War getting some votes.
-
Precursor-Forerunner
-
Great Schism was the best part of Halo 2.
-
The Human-Covenant War and the Great Schism outclass all other parts of the lore.
-
Anything that takes place between the first three games.
-
Probably human-covie war or the Great Schism. But I've always had a thing for the Precursors and flood (before that Karen Travis wrecked it).
-
I haven't read Silentium yet, and although I adore the whole Forerunner side of the story, as of now my favorite is still the Human-Covenant War. Just so much information, so many epic battles, so much loss. The Covenant were scary back then, the Forerunners were extremely mysterious, Spartan II's and III's were the shit. ODST's were awesome. So much more that could be explored that we haven't seen yet. So much more happening then than Post-War with the pathetic excuse for Spartan's that are the Spartan IV's. The UNSC basically becoming the Covenant imitating Forerunner tech...
-
Schism, 'cause dem sorta good guy sangheili.
-
The Human Covenant War, because it had the most info out of all those other topics from what I've seen. Unless the rest of the lore is stored in those books that were written a while back on the Forerunners.
-
Innies I want the UNSC as bad guys in Halo 5
-
I like the one where the elites secede. WHICH ONE IS THAT? I am spacing on names...
-
Dare I say my favourite part?
