I did not make this video, but the guy who did is like...one of the best people in the world.
He explains everything in the video on what to do and why you should do this. I just did this myself (literally just this second) and like...HUUUGE increase in buffering times.
If it doesn't work for you, dunno what to tell you, but it worked awesome for me!
Just thought you guys would like to see this video, so ya.

Over the past several days some youtube vids load great and others don't load at all.
-
is it just me, or did the new update slow youtube down by a LOT.
-
Why can't some people grasp the concept that not every country has American or likewise grade internet... Cheers op.
-
Been running this for a few days and it's working great.
-
Eh I have a really slow connection but nothing (including YouTube) ever seems to take too long to buffer, and this thing only made a very small difference, maybe not at all.
-
He still buffers that video very slowly.
-
2 RepliesHa, buffering.

1 Replyyour little avatar looks like a combee.

3 Repliesstop having poor people internet and you won't have to worry about buffering

Edited by Minh Dude: 4/17/2013 4:45:29 PMStep 1: Don't read the OP Step 2: Don't have Dial-Up Step 3: Enjoy your YouTube videos not buffer ever

I still get buffering despite watching that video.
-
AFAIK this just blocks certain CDN servers, forcing you to switch to others. Whether it makes you faster or slower is completely unpredictable.
-
I just let GPU acceleration do its thing. Besides, this is all limited by your network.
-
2 RepliesI think it would work amazing, if not for the fact that I currently have 19 tabs and HexChat open right now.

Edited by BritLemon: 4/16/2013 1:29:51 AMDidn't work for me, it actually made it slower.
-
Dammit. The video won't buffer.
-
Didn't work. Amazing connection and computer and I can't even load 360p videos.... :/
-
Made no difference to me. Do I need to restart the computer? It just caused my videos, when started in the middle to fail to load, and maybe improved it by 2 seconds to do 1080p over a 5 minute video?
-
All this does is practically does is remove the limit on the amount of video you can buffer at once. Unless you have a slow internet connection, there is no real benefit in doing this.
-
1 ReplyIs this legit?

Pretty sweet once I figured out how to do it for XP. It's not a huge difference, but any improvement is always good.
-
lol, my video froze in the middle.
-
Didn't even help me at all.
-
This works, only a bit, but still very helpful. Thanks OP.
-
tl;dw for those on iPads at the moment?
