This isn't a matter of Netflix not having the cash to pay for movies, it's a matter of Comcast and DirectTV and all the other cable companies having exclusivity contracts with the movie makers. Comcast doesn't want you to watch Inception through Netflix, they want you to watch it through the "movies on demand" or whatever service THEY exclusively provide... because apparently the cable companies have a big problem with being a "dumb pipe."

Well, too bad. Cable companies have more money and power than God and something of a monopoly on all the entertainment that's any good. Nobody's getting upset over it, of course... people are already way too worked-up over not being able to stuff their fat faces with a keg full of soda.
