So what DO you do when someone is coming at you with a Bat, a Knife, or a gun? Just stand there and call the police, hide and call the police? You'll be lucky if you are not robbed, -blam!- or dead by the time police show up 10-20 minutes later. Do you think most UNARMED people can take on a person who is even wielding a Bat or a Knife? I sure don't think so.

I never said you couldn't defend yourself, just that doing so by killing them is wrong. use a weapon to beat them up to neutralise the threat but using a gun to kill them is unnecessary.

With my luck, the guy I'm trying to defend myself against catches the bat, pulls it from me and then beats ME with it. By the way.. It only takes one bullet to stop someone and sometimes, they don't die from the gun shot either. It could take several hits with a bat to stop a raging man from trying to beat me or kill me.. And if there is more than one bad guy.. I'm screwed. Especially if one of them has a gun.
