Before watching TDKR, I suggest this (Also counts if you saw it)

Many people try to understand the movie without reading some comics or the back-stories about the characters.
So:
[b]1st: Read all movie characters background on the internet.
2nd: Read some comics related like Bane breaking Batman's back.
3rd: Go watch the movie again; If you haven't seen it yet.[/b]

In case you DO NOT understand the movie:
Many people complain on not fully understanding the movie with so many "plot-holes". But in fact, I did some reading and find out that the movie is heavily based (by that I mean, mostly all characters reactions) on the comics.
But you don't really need to read the comics to understand it, you just need to read the characters bio, how they end the way they are now.
