What do you think the origin of the Exos is going to be?
Will they be reanimated dead people?
Soldiers like the Spartans (modified humans)?
Were they created by their own choice or was it the product of unethical experimentation (spartan project)?

2 RepliesWell, what other kind of robots do we know of? The Vex. Though their design isn't very similar, so that's unlikely. What about The Fallen? It's in the name, they could have had their own creations turn against them. They do appear to like slave labor, just look at the Cabal. And the faces look like something they'd make. But that's not likely. Exos only have two arms. Surely The Fallen would have created something in their image. What about the origin of their name? Exo. Outer. An outer skin. The Exos are untiring, potentially ruthless. Where could they have come from?

Those that still survive today joined the guardians and when the traveler came they gained the power it gave mankind due to there human parts.

In my personal opinion the EXO could be survivors of whatever hit earth, But they sustained injuries too severe to live from so made the choice to become EXO (robot\super human body with a human brain and maybe face) or they could have been full human once but volunteered to be enhanced into a super human war machine but the reason all humans didn't volunteer was because the survival rate too low (trouble bonding\linking with the machinelike) 10 in every 100 kind of low. but that's just what I think would be pretty f***ing AWESOME LOL

I'm going with the theory: Exo were warriors during the fall, that were either chosen or forced to become cyborgs in order for humanity to stand better chance of survival.

1 ReplyI would go with humans wanting augmentation for combat and the result of advanced prosthetics due to war injuries. Plus with technology the question becomes apparent. If you could have all the abilities of an iPhone in your eyes you would see lines wrapping around the building for laser surgery.

i think that it would be most logical that they chose to have cybernetic implants, changing there bodies. i have been wondering about how each race would get along, and thought that maybe the Exos looked down upon humans and awoken as inferior, because they got the cybernetics to become superior i would think. just an idea for background stories.

I think, or hope, that the exos are actually dead humans who, before dying, transferred their beings to a computer. Would make sense why robots can use magic, and would be a good way to explain why they are human like. I kind of think the same goes for the Awoken except ofcourse they wouldn't be dead and the traveler changed them.
