Got you covered- Speculation is that it's probably a Hive Queen, or some other high-up form of Hive Hierarchy.

You guys remember the "Pathways out of Darkness" viddoc? The bit with the phone app bit where Halcylon received an invitation about a quest about a Queen or something? Maybe that has something to do with this Hive Mind/Hive Queen thing.
