This mac that I'm working on takes at least 30 minutes just to boot up and keeps constantly crashing when in use and acting sluggish. What can I do to speed up the boot time and such? I tried clearing up memory on the HDD but that still didn't work. Any suggestions?

1 ReplyProbably needs the HDD replaced. No amount of reformatting or reinstalling will help.

You've probably got a crapload of programs set to run at startup. Go into whatever Apple calls its version of msconfig and fix it.
