Yup. So as some of you may know Sim City has always online DRM. EA failed to get their servers running and no one can play their purchased games. So some users are asking for a refund to which EA refuses. Try a charge back and your account will be banned.
All this negative feedback towards EA is just a fad though, right?

Easy solution. Move to a civilised nation, where customers have the right to return unsatisfactory products for a refund.

1 ReplyEdited by SLAMt4stic: 3/7/2013 9:09:40 PMMy copy has worked fine every time. Granted I've only played it three times since launch but from what I've heard some people can't get in at all. edit: ITT people need to look up what a charge back is.

To be fair, I can't think of a direct download service that doesn't do that.

Misleading title is misleading. No one was banned just for asking them for a refund.

3 RepliesEdited by Leader Aleks: 3/7/2013 6:31:25 PMThat user is just mad cause he entered a fight where he has no chance of winning. Origin clearly states that refunds for digital purchases are not possible unless it's under exceptional circumstances. This is not one of those circumstances, the product is working as intended however the service has a few flaws, EA failed to prepare for the launch.

17 RepliesYep, not buying Electronic Arts games anymore. They're the cancer to the game industry right now.

The bigger travesty is the grammar by whoever wrote that article

...and all the idiots take it out of context. Steam, Uplay and all the other services feature an identical rule, if you do fraud, you get banned.

Edited by DarkestSeptagon: 3/7/2013 1:09:19 PMEA is angry that they have a bad reputation on the internet. Well this is -blam!-ing why EA! Screwing over Simcity customers like you did with Crysis 3 customers and many other games.

>2013 >paying money for an EA game

Fraudulent statement designed to be hyperbolic to induce rage is fraudulent and designed to be hyperbolic to induce rage. EA isn't banning people for asking for a refund. They are banning people who are attempting charge backs. Something that they agreed not to do when they signed up for EA's service.
