Remember when people used to say "Good game" in the post-game lobby in Halo 2? Memories.........
-
Yeah, that was back in the better days when XBL didn't have party chat. Now, XBL has such a bad reputation for being filled with foul-mouthed middle school brats that everybody either mutes all other players by default or just stays in party chat and only communicates with the people they know.

you never see anyone post a GG in the postgame lobby on console anymore. Switch to PC friend. GG's all round
-
I remember when the Sangheili were attractive...

Edited by Verachi: 2/26/2013 9:13:28 PMIn Halo 2 you had nice people but there were also tons of Assholes. In the higher ranks you had to be good at the game as well as talking shit during the game. I felt like I heard GG in Halo 3 more often.
-
The only time I ever consistently hear GG is on the PC. On consoles it's pretty much been bitching and whining by the other team when they lose.
-
Halo 2 - almost after every match (unless you tried to grab the flag through the floor) Halo 3 - barely... the trash talking took over Halo: Reach - no one ever used a mic... seriously! probably 97% of the games i played no one EVER had a mic! Halo 4 - didnt care
-
The current state of halo is terrible. The gameplay is terrible. The ONLY playable playlist in H4 is Throwdown. And nothing is wrong with trash talk, there is NOTHING wrong with being competitive.
-
i miss the old halo2 days lol
-
It's nothing to with Halo. It's to do with gamers.
-
Back when I played Halo: CE on PC I would regularly see "gg" typed post-match (and this was within the last couple years, not back in 2004). Are the servers still up for that game btw?
-
You're mistaking the current state of videogames for the current state of Halo. They've become more popular in recent years, so they attract more "colorful" people.
-
Gaming in general has opened up to a new market. Its no longer about a bunch of dudes having fun, its a bunch of weirdos getting their pseudo-social recognition. Halo, has been twisted and ''balanced'' so much now its not even Halo anymore. its got the chief in though, so ill buy it.

Just a few weeks ago I feel in with a Mic Equipped team already in Matchmaking. They were the best teammates I've seen in years, and every match we were thrown into was either a blitz, or a bitter stalemate, and after every single match, I sent the entirety of the enemy team a good game message acknowledging their skill or bravery.

I never remember hearing good game in Reach. I have heard it several times in Team Throwdown.
-
I mostly get yelled at by guys who seem to be ages 17-20 "YOU TRASH SCRUB" I turn my mic off most of the time so they don't randomly yell at me for no reason. This is any game though.
-
To be frank, it's been like that for quite a while now.
-
When I'm in game chat in any game I say good game post-game.
-
Deal with it? Turn you mic off? Mute the squeaky bastard? Honestly, it's not like this is the worst thing ever.

Halo current status- Dead
-
Halo died in 2010
-
The most I ever got out of the post game lobby was someone saying they -blam!-ed my mother.

Remember when this was the actual cover art? Yeah, good times...
