They can do whatever they want. No one is forcing homosexuals to attend mass.

But they are effectively forcing them not to go because of they could be discriminated against. People should have the option to go.
-
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God", Romans 3:23 There's no place for discrimination in churches. As I said before, it sounds like that's effectively what they're trying to solve.
-
Why should homosexuals feel shunned and outcasts from the religious community because religious people like to pick and choose from the Bible which parts to follow?
-
They don't "pick and choose"; certain laws were nullified by Jesus and the new covenant. Stuff like not eating shellfish and how to sacrifice an animal are no longer part of the church, while stuff like homosexuality is. Whenever you say stuff like that, you show you simply don't understand the subject matter.

Not just rules (Though I'd love to see a quote of him abolishing slavery as being ok, or to kill those who don't have the same belief) things like the Earth being made in 6 days, well pretty much the whole creation story, and over scientific inaccuracies.
-
I made a long reply to this, then hit refresh by accident, and now I'll post a tl;dr. Slavery: very different in OT. Slavery = indentured servitude, slaves were honored, and given food and shelter, and it was not lifelong. In addition, it was to repay a debt. Win-win usually. Killing nonbelievers: usually because said nonbelievers were trying to destroy Israel. Also, that is part of the old covenant, which is defunct. Creationism: Genesis should not be taken literally, because it attempts to describe the indescribable in simple terms that any uneducated person could understand. Even following it, time wouldn't be relevant because it hadn't been created yet. Again, it's clearly not literal.

Also, it's rather obvious that hating gays is retarded, it's simple logic. -God made nature -Being gay is all natural -Ergo, God made gays Done.
-
[Sexual assault], murder, incest, natural disasters, famine, suffering, etc. are all 'natural' too. Anything that exists could be considered natural if your definition is broad. Airplanes are natural because they're a product of evolution. What you're trying to argue is that homosexuality isn't a sin, which doesn't have anything to do with being natural.

Even if it's not literal, everything is clearly out of wack, plainly wrong. The sun being made days after the Earth, AND AFTER day and night was introduced on Earth....somehow. Even if it's a metaphor, it's clearly inconsistent and, well, wrong.
