The Catholic Church shouldn't have to conform to society. It has rules and they should be followed if you want to be a part of it.

Why don't they get over their completely irrational hatred of gays and accept them? I mean it's simple logic. Being gay is natural. They believe God made nature. Ergo, God made gays.

Ergo, God made gays.[/quote] While I agree that it's pretty disgusting, you're asking a group to change its views when it's pretty clear what the Bible thinks about gays. It's just not going to happen. Christianity is different because there's no such thing as change, everything that is in the Bible is set in stone and will never change.

The Bible also says that God made the Earth in six days That a guy lived in a wales stomach for three days That shaving is also a sin That if you're a virgin before marriage you should be stoned That you should marry your rapist That slavery is ok. The Catholic Church don't view any of that as legitimate, why view the gay bit as legitimate?
