Dear Bungie Community,
We'll introduce our game to the world tomorrow. It's a milestone we've been looking forward to for some time. You see, we make games we want to play, and this is one we like playing very much. We like exploring its possibilities, dreaming about what it can become, and talking about what why it excites us.
Tomorrow is sweet because we add a missing ingredient to that conversation: Each and every one of you. The Bungie Community has honored us during this dark phase. You've kept us company and reminded us why we do what we do with your unyielding curiosity and enthusiasm. That's not something we'll forget, no matter how loud the party becomes.
Personally, I have relished the chance to get to know the Seventh Column in the ramp up to this moment. In reading your mail, studying your debates, and colliding with some of you in games, I've immersed myself in a deep culture of passion and ownership. This is your website, and we're grateful for the chance to host it for you.
Some of you have expressed a concern that the Bungie Community won't have a front row seat for the first real conversation about Destiny. I'm here - as I am every day - to tell you that this is not true. The story about our new game originates from here. It's a story we will finally tell for ourselves, and it will continue here once it has begun.
If the past year has taught us anything, it's that we can't fully control the reach of that message. People have been prying details about this game out of our talons, and spreading them far and wide. We're grateful that the Internet is hungry for information about our work, but it doesn't distract us from the daily attention we pay to our own home base.
This is a chance for us to strenghten the Bungie Community. No matter where discussion about Destiny happens, all roads lead to Bungie.net, and the iron core that you've forged with us. No matter where you see this game being discussed, you should take comfort in the fact that we treasure the people who hang out in our clubhouse. We certainly take comfort in that.
You're our primary audience, and you have our full attention.
Talk to you again, Soon(tm).

If it weren't for the way you guys handle us, the community, and how you treat us like family, I don't think any of us would have stayed. You guys rock. You guys make people like myself want to imerse ourselves in the community and get involved in it's activities. You make us want be involved in the community. Thank you DeeJ, and thank you Bungie.

First! *ProTip: If you "Mute" everyone, you can be "first" in every thread.*

I'm new to this type of gaming community even though I've been a gamer for the longest and I believe I couldn't of had a better experience if it were done by another company, bungie is doing some great things and I want to be apart of it. I'm all in.
-
I love so much how community oriented you are, Bungie. :) It's what keeps me coming back.
-
Great reveal!

You know, this, of course, but House of Wolves is your last chance for many players. End of the free dlcs from Digital Guardian edition, though honestly the fact that we paid for these in the first place is a shameful money grab and I believe you all know it. "But wait!" you'll say. "You paid the same amount for a map pack in Halo 3!" Yes, I did. Because Halo 3 had a story. Maybe Destiny will to. Someday.

Damnit I thought this was a new post XD Who revived this?!?!
-
I'm in school right now

Your losing all your fans day by day Deej!
-
Its really too bad you never followed through with what you said.
-
necro'd.
-
Lol wow!
-
This is almost laughable now. How you have squandered the hopes and efforts of your own community. I hear Kotaku has an article up you all desperately need to read. You might want to take some time to go do that, and consider it a letter directly from your fan base.
-
Doesn't change the fact that the game is still broken, you should listen to your community more.
-
Reading through the old comments I can see all the excitement and positivity that no longer exists unfortunately. I also see how people are almost congratulating Bungie on their relationship with the community. Although now there is a very negative view on that. Just kinda interesting to notice.

The darkness is passing, and Bungie holds the light up for all to see.

Thanks Deej :) Destiny looks awesome. Would be awesome if the clan feature was brought back for Destiny, it was removed after Halo 2. Was a cool feature. :D
