Tomorrow marks the end of a year and a half of silence from Bungie, and the beginning of another chapter in the Bungie legacy. Speculation is rampant, excitement is at an all time high, and the community is coming back to life again, waiting to embark on a decade of Destiny.
Think about where you were 10 years ago when we first saw Halo compared to where you are now. Where will you be in another 10 years, when we (presumably) will close out yet another chapter? What awesome things will this community do in that time? Halo inspired artists, musicians, writers, and filmmakers. We saw entire subcommunities grow and evolve, people met over the game and got married, and awesome friendships were forged. It's just crazy to me to even begin to fathom what Destiny will lead to.
I'm just as excited to see what we'll do with this game as I am to actually play it. Hopefully forge and theater systems will be integrated into it, making the job of the community much easier. Anyway, see you guys tomorrow. Here's to another decade.

For now Lets say that my excitement level is over 9000. But for now, I must calm myself down. Sleep is needed in order to comprehend what will happen tomorrow... Inspire me, Bungie! Give me something sweet to look forward to!

Destiny will be a super amazing title, naturally. I hope nobody takes this next part the wrong way though. 10 Years ago, the gaming community was ripe for something like Halo to start something amazing. It most certainly inspired a lot of amazing people today, but I don't believe Destiny can do this on the same scale. NOT because it won't be as good as Halo was, but todays society (for lack of a better term) won't allow it (in my opinion). For example, 10 years ago it was really easy to make friends and have a laugh over gaming. Now you're lucky to find someone (lets say someone random in a game you play online: COD, Halo ect.) who interacts with others and isn't trying to annoy/troll them. I'm majorly put off online gaming because a lot of my friends have moved on from xbox going to university/college and generally growing up, and I can't stick with people I meet online anymore. I know I, and many millions of other gamers, will love and cherish Destiny but in 10 years time I doubt it would have made as much as an impact. Regardless I'm hyped for tomorrow and I hope/pray that I am proven wrong.

The darkness is almost over. I feel happier already.

Destiny will be better than 343's version of Halo, I'm sure. I can't put it into words how excited I am for tomorrow, and I'll be there with you, admiring the shining light of knowledge.

Love this post. I'm so excited as it is and I just can't wait to see what is around the corner. I can only imagine what they've cooked up. At some points I'm worried I've hyped myself up too much, but this is Bungie. I'm positive they will come out on top. It feels like so much is about to happen, I just can't wait.
