Not really. The guy is mentally ill. I already posted an article saying that Dorner suffers from malignant narcissism, which is why he feels so righteous. He wasn't fired because of corruption, he was fired because he lied about another officer (there was no evidence to back up his story at all).

However, let's not start placing full faith and trust in the statements of the LAPD and/or the opinions of psychobabblers who have never met him quite yet. The LAPD is in full damage-control spin-mode, and we have seen this before during the Rodney King and the Rampart scandals -- they have already proven that they will tell lies to save their reputation, and they will continue to tell those lies even after proof to the contrary is shoved into their faces. Dorner's statements cannot be trusted, but neither can the LAPD's. I'm reserving judgment until some independent and unbiased facts are available.

For one, let's be clear right off the bat. "Psychobabblers" are scientists. There's no "babble" involved. It's scientific study like anything else. Dismissing things because they're complicated is the definition of stupidity. Let's not do it. I'm not placing full faith and trust in the LAPD's statements, the fact that the officers who shot at innocent people aren't facing life sentences without the possibility of parole is enough to show me that they're not to be fully trusted. Even major civil rights leaders who have gone against the LAPD in the past say that the department has cleaned itself up a great deal since the days of Rampart and King. All the available evidence shows that Dorner was wrong about reporting his supervisor. That's what I'm going off of.

The cops that he shot in Riverside were not involved with his dismissal or any aspect of his time at LAPD. To my knowledge, neither of them spent any time on the LAPD force.

In his manifesto I believe he said he was going after the corrupt people. Kind of like Harvey Dent I guess.
