This problem continues unabated. I am so pissed. I spoke with 1800-4my xbox. they did nothing. I wrote the "fine people" at Microsoft as directed by the help page, if the suggestions don't fix the problem. They replied by copy pasting that same web page. The email included the paragraph with the instructions to write them if the page didn't help. WOW. then I replied again explaining that I was a lawyer and that I felt they were opening themselves up to lawsuit by selling damaged software and then pissing on the customers who had the audacity to complain. They responded to that email with a generic explanation that they couldn't give each customer a personal reply because it took too much time but that my complaint would be logged with all the others in a database that would later be culled by customer service for input on how to improve customer service. By the way, NOT THE TOPIC OF MY EMAIL. I want my -blam!- game to -blam!- work. i don't feel like that is a lot to ask. From reading literally hundreds of complaints and more than a couple websites, I think the problem stems from a lack of harddrive space adequate enough to run the disc. This causes disc read errors at points when a large amount of memory is required for the running of the disc. In other words a default error. I have exchanged five discs. that is not an exaggeration. i was very hopeful this was a disc problem. I think the reason it only affects some users is because of the differences between 360s as per release date. I bought my xbox the week it came out. I had it updated when I got the three rings of death but maybe it didn't get updated enough. BTW, my game runs perfectly without the harddrive attached. I can play through the entire game, just can't save. Also, can't play on the internet because I don't have a saved profile b/c no memory card. This is everything I have and know. Please someone continue this thread and if there is any fix/patch/anything repost. I know the temptation, once you are made whole, is to enjoy the game and forget about our broken friends left behind like enemies slain on the field...but please, give a hand. I am dying here.
