Point well received. Someone also mentioned Bungie considering this the best solution, or something to that regard. Lets be careful not to put words in anyone's mouths. I'm sure Bungie did what they wanted to do, for the varying reasons already discussed. I also find it odd people would prefer to lose in-game field of view over approx 25% of their physical screen space. To each their own I guess. While I don't suspect Bungie will do anything about this (I wouldn't if I were them), I feel they at least owe everyone a clear-cut response/clarification to the whole thing.
