I think Obama has been doing well with what he has to work with. He inherited a huge national debt with out of control government spending, an unpopular war in the middle east, the worst economical situation since the great depression, and a lot of republicans in the senate that are trying to make him look bad. All in all, he's made his mistakes, but the thing is he often times recognizes them, and then will do what he needs to. I very much believe he has the nations best interests in mind, and that he does in fact have a connection with the middle class of the U.S. I also think he understands the difficulties of struggling families and that "government handouts" aren't always abused like everyone thinks they are. I normally watch the government sponsored programs when the actually run congressional meetings and senate meetings on T.V. and it's pretty crazy to see how childish politicians are. All parties are guilty of being extremely petty and childish, but with Obama as president it seems to be more amplified. I will never blame the president for the nations problems. It's impossible for one person to solve matters on the scale of what people want done instantly. I blame congress and the senate for the nations problems. It doesn't matter what party they belong to, they all act like toddlers fighting over a stupid toy. They bicker, they name call, and they fear monger to get what they want and to complete tasks that are on their own personal agendas. There are a few good senators and congressmen/women, but it's absurd to how crazy those people can be. TL;DR Obama does fine, congress and senate suck monkey nutz.

  • You can literally look back to policies made by the Regan administration and start to see the decline of our economy. You can look at projections from George W. Bush administration and see that the economy was on the same decline, and would be just as bad, if someone else took office besides Obama. Besides, the President can't change a global economy by himself. He can't just snap his fingers and make jobs appear. Like everyone believes. An increase in jobs means an increase in corporate growth. The President has no control over what a private company does with their money. If everyone is so buttmad about the economy, they need to blame someone else other than the president. I'm not an Obama supporter, even though it seems like I may be, but he really has nothing to do with the economy. It's really silly to think that our government controls the economy, when in fact, it's the private sector and the global economy that are the biggest factors. So, if you want to be buttmad and point fingers, look at corporations and how big CEO's didn't really lose that much money for their paychecks, and how many workers they laid off. Look at how they utilized their employees to do more work for less money so that their profits stayed high. Government spending is so out of control due to policies that were made decades ago. You can look these things up...
