Dude Gets Recon For Suicide By Cone?
Seriously? If you're giving away recon helmet for something that was actually written into the physics of the game why not for my video of my rocket launcher mysteriously exploding in my hands and killing me for no reason? I think that's a tad bit more surprising than a construction cone killing someone.

Look, those people got the armor. They made some great videos (I dont think it was to get the recon armor anyway) and everyone enjoyed it. Well, almost everyone. Not everyone can have the recon armor, thats the point and just because you can't have it doesn't mean bungie messed up or w/e. They made a crazy awsome game and did a really good job, so stop complaining.

People want it because they cant have it. Simple. If it was readily available half these people would say that the Recon armor is ugly, stupid, or for noobs. If I was a Bungie employee, I would have saved the Hayabusa for myself, and let the community get Recon instead.

if i had recon i would not wear it because everyone who you play against would wine like babies. you would end up being the target of everyone because you have recon. what would be cool though is if bungie came out with like a hundred different varients of armor . then everyone would'nt look the same all the time and the colors, come on give me more.

Having a helmet that is extremely rare makes it more valuable to the few that get it. They gave plenty of helmets to the whole community. Whats the problem with setting aside a helmet to reward a few people who supply us with entertaining videos? I obviously don't have a Recon helmet, I wish I could wear one, but that doesn't mean I should get to. Maybe I'll get lucky and have something crazy happen to me that will land me a Recon worthy video. Its a tiny chance, but it could happen to any of us. You can't have everything you want so stop -blam!- ing.

Just a heads up to everybody, in case you did not notice, Achronos strongly implied that it is a "on a whim" thing, that it is going to be somewhat random, making videos is not THE way to "get the armour", its been said it could be given for making an awesome forge map or something. I think i remember someone saying that saying "i have cool files" counts as spam, and will hurt your chances of getting it, in fact, it wouldnt surprise me if simply posting in this thread DISQUALIFIES you from getting it. but im not sure. And I think i posted my point earlier without sarcasm, and i tried to be clear, sorry if it wasnt. And the "forum spamness" part for a couple days, consisted of people trying to be constructive and figure out how to unlock it (which again, it seemed bungie hinted at first), after bungie debunked US unlocking it, you got a lot of " i am pissed off, i deserve this armour i paid sixty dollars" posts, I think this is supposed to be the only thread for this discussion now, and frankly even though i have an opinion I want to share here, I dont think this thread is getting anywhere, its probably gonna just get worse....

When the DLC arrives, I am sure there will be many ways to dress up your halo dolls. If they are crafty, they will have recon armor, but at some ungodly price. Say 6400 points or more.

Am I the only one who sees no point in these threads? No recon thread has ever been productive at all. It's always an argumen between to kinds of people and maybe a third party. There are the "Bungie, we want recon" and the "Shutup, Bungie can do anything they want". What's the point of restating the same thing over and over again. Do you honestly think you are the first to make a thread about wanting the recon or telling those wanting it to shutup? There is a great façade, in word sense, on Bungie's community that it is really sad. People try so hard to act nice or great so Bungie can give them Recon. Although this is a plus for the "Recon Movement" there is also the negative of so many threads that are bringing down the quality of this forum and making it worse for all the people that have looked down on this forum for a long time. This is a never-ending debate started by two groups of people with very different views of how this great armor, put on a pedestal, will look. The best word to describe this is effortless. i laugh because the only reason all of you want it is because you can't have it. if it was a perm that shipped with the game, no one would care about it. i find this pretty funny.

Agreed about the selfish complaining about armor that does absolutely nothing other than look extremely cool, don’t get me wrong I would also love to have it but If I was going to throw a fit about armor it would have to have a military advantage such as the recon have a 10 sec active camo that regenerates ever 1min and the CQB have a 5 sec oversheid that regenerates every 1min as well and so on and so forth just my opinion

Frankly, I think this thread is 100% proof of why Bungie won't give out Recon to everyone, and the exact kind of selfishness and immaturity -- and sense of entitlement -- which will [b]not[/b] get players the permutation. Keep it alive as an example, I say.

Two people posted videos of strange things happening to them and were lucky enough to be given the armor. It was a random unplanned way to award it. This has been stated several times. It has also been stated that there is no Single way that they will give it out. All you can do is play fair, contribute positively to this forum community and cross your fingers. Who knows what the criteria will be next. I think it's exciting. Besides, I think that in due time the recon armor will be available to all those that want it. It won't be anytime soon, mind you, but eventually. That's just my opinion.
