Im not to sure if this has been discussed but, I think that to optimize the amount of sweet stuff in HALO 3 there should be two seperate discs. A Halo 3 campaigne disc and a seperate multiplayer one.
Just my thoughts...

So you can play multiplayer off of either disk. However, the campaign will be split across both disks. That way you only ever have to switch disks once. Don't you think it would be a pain if you had to switch disks every time you wanted to play multiplayer?[/quote] You post-stealing git! I was *just* about to say that... :D Anyhow to elaborate, let's assume that the H3 beta is indicative of the size of the maps - that is to say around 300Mb each. Let's say 350Mb to be safe. With this, you could have twelve MP maps and still only take up 4.2Gb of data - or a single DVD layer. By duplicating the MP data and splitting SP, you can get 9Gb of campaign and 4.5Gb of multiplayer. Compare this with splitting MP and SP from each other where you can get 9Gb for each, at the expense of ease of use. Is being able to join multiplayer at any point worth 4.5Gb for maps? I'd imagine so since I doubt they even have time to make more maps to fill that space before release. Of course this is all speculation.
