Ok Seriously, My IWHBYD Skull Will Not Appear
I have started from mission start on normal and legendary, cleared out the entire room before jumping through any rings. I have done the long pattern, the short pattern and even the last 7 pattern, multiple times, the damn skull will not show up. WTF?

it has to be done after the cutscene with the prophet and use the ring with the red mark as reference that is ring number 4. ring number 1 is at the entrance and ring 7 is at the platform

...cough.... first try i got it on legendary..... then i helped my friend get it on co op heroic KILL EVERYTHING ON THE LEVEL EVERYTHING in the ring room all the flood the prophet and everything OKAY the music should change to a calmer music YOU MUST jUMP THROUGH THE RINGS IN THIS ORDER due to the fact that i dunno if bungie will be mad at me for telling you this ill have to decifer the number combo a little bit but if you have the education of a 5 year old youll get it..... the combo is Fo.Si.Fi.Fo.Fi.Th.Fo spell it out and youll get it and thats it youll have th IWHBYD skull and enjoy the countless funny quotes you get when you shoot recruits, the arbiter and my fav 343 "stop that, your pissing me off" god luck finding thoose awsome quotes [Edited on 10.23.2007 12:33 AM PDT]

Make sure you finish the level. Just to be safe take the skull all the way to the finish. Note: Once you have finished the correct sequence the rings will light up also once you pick up the skull turn around and watch the rings play a little tune :)

I did the pattern on Lengendary single player first try after jumping through random rings...As long as you don't mess up the order after jumping through the first in the series it will show up...

I've done this myself about 5 times and finally gave up. It just doesn't seem to want to reveal itself during single player.

i've done it 3 times now and all 3 times it has appeared. Kill truth and then clear out the room, the halo ring by truth is number 7 and the one by the elevator is number 1. Jump thru all the rings in the direction of truths dead body, I've done the long route twice and the short route once with no failures yet.

i got it on my first playthrough on 4 player co-op me and 2 friends marked every second ring so the 4th player could keep count properly. It appeared for us after we cleared all the flood out, plus the ring thing etc. It is near where truth died right after the light bridge.

I did it single player just earlier today on normal. It took me a couple tries of doing the pattern, but it finally worked and I got my skull unlocked.

I did it yesterday, the skull spawned at 2nd try on the bridge (WITHOUT any sound while i was jumping through the rings) I grabbed it, jumped around hilariously and out of control i fell off the bridge into nowhere ... My problem: I can't activate the skull now .. what happened? I know there's no achievement for this skull, i held it in my hands - but it seems my drop off the bridge didn't save the skull?!?! Aaaannd do it again *goingnuts* gl to all

I've done it in Co-Op and yes, I mean I cleared the room, I even shot up the Arbiter a bit out of frustration.

did you kill truth first or not?

maybe it has to be done in Co-Op? Everyone I know got it in a Co-Op game. Also, be sure to start at the correct Ring, and to not accidentally skip any (It happens)

I'm well past 8, maybe 20 times now, I have even had my brother play with me to help with the rings, nothing, zip, nada.

I took me like 8 tries. Just keep it up.
