The most logical use for the "X" button: (w/ diagram)
Press "X" for picnic table manouver.
Imagine it: An elite is rushing the Chief, energy sword blazing in the night. The Chief, clip empty, slips out of cover and charges the Elite. At the last second, as the ELite roars his challenge, the Chief leaps into the air, and turn into a picnic table!
The manouver is of such epic proportions, the Elite's brain undergoes nuclear fission on the spot, boiling his flesh away, before disapearing in a blinding flash of white.

(Edit: five days ago...) And there was no donkey in my picture, it was a picnic table. There was also a lack of feces, that was the Master chief.
