I would like to know why so many people throw a hizzy fit when they hear anyone speaking anything other than English on a room before the game starts, given though, this only happens on social games, when the games are ranked you can't hear the other team until the end of the game, but regardless, i find it childish for gamers to go buck wild, insult you automatically think you're Mexican when you enter a room speaking in Spanish (nothing wrong with Mexicans) its just that i'm from another country not remotely related to it, i find it hard to believe that at this day and age we still have people ( young kids at that) that are throwing racial comments out in the air, barely even knowing what some of the terms mean.
At the end of the day what matters is your performance in the game, not your country of birth and the language you speak, the games are scored based on how many people you killed and how many times you died, is funny how fast people are to talk trash, but its funnier how much faster it is for them to leave when they are loosing the game or have lost the game for that matter, stay and chat, let me know how embarrassed you are that after all the cr*p you said, you got your *ss handed to you in a game, not saying i'm a great player, i just enjoy the game, obviously i'm better than some people and some people are better than me, but that's just the way life goes.
This is not a request for all you trash talkers to apologize, i could care less about that, i'm one of the biggest trash talkers out there, and i talk trash regardless of winning or loosing, but i also give credit where credit is due, i dont throw a racial slur and leave the room just because i got beat by someone whose language i dont understand, i believe the gaming community should be over this by now, its a stupid issue and should be approached more maturely. i've been sent so mush negative feedback from guys that got whooped after talking trash, goes to show you the maturity.
to my other foreign language speakers out there, keep on handing out those *ss whoopings, because that's the only way you can retaliate the negative comments.

I am not trying to be racist/steriotypical, but every spanish person I have ran into on this game so far has talked so much trash it gets to a point where its annoying. It just leaves a negative steriotype and makes people prone to mute spanish speaking people more. No offense to anyone once again.

people are so racist.. wow ! what do you mean by ignorant ? he said ARROGANT learn to read for -blam!- sakes ignorance uh ? oh the irony.
-
Yes, Spanish is bad.
-
what the -blam!- ? yeah clearly arrogant. i'm with friends and i talk to them before the game starts then you hear the whole other team say -blam!- like "oh -blam!- what are they mexicans ?" and then they start immitating you. way to go on throwing comments in the air without even knowing what they're saying.

I acutally played a game with a spanish speaking guy earlier (it was lone wolves, we only spoke in pre/post game lobby). I heard him speak in spanish, and I replied in spanish, though he then proceeded to speak wayyyyy above my level, and I told him "Yo hablo un poquito espanol". He laughed and we spoke in english for a moment, then we were talking in post game. I really could care less if people speak in another lanuage, and I hate any racial slurs.

viva la raza y halo 3 latino fanboys! :)

spanish is just as bad as english, french, german, or any other language. its just a means of communication. how can it be bad? unfortunately, there are a lot of racist idiots on xbox live. also people who assume spanish speakers are mexican, are ignorant. everyone should learn a second language!!! i know a little french. je vais jouer le halo trois!!!! no accent marks on my keyboard :(
-
I speak both. I am an American, but live in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Online I don´t care. What bothers me is my copy of Halo 3 has a Spanish campaign. The grunts call me "maldito cabron". Oye, mugroso, me llamo Jefe Maestro. Entiendelo. But seriously can I get an English language option. The Spanish speaking marines don´t say nearly as many funny things, as I read here on the forums.
Posted by: Antigrade
Posted by: spl10246 In fact, if we look at some numbers Chinese (Mandarin) is the most spoken language in the world, then English, then Spainish, then Arabic, then Bengali, then Hindi, then Russian, then Japanese, then German.
... Yeah. And almost all of those people live in China... You know what that means! Let's just say you're not going to be speaking to many Mandarin speakers online.
I was not talking about the people that play halo3......I cannot imagine what the percentages of people's 1st languages are in halo3, only that there is a high English one since so many people in the US play it. Es una cosa que yo nunca podía comprende, porque yo vive en Miami, Florida y vivir con personas de todo lugares. Solamente quiero que persones tratar de hablar el idioma de su equipo. Si no puedes, es bien, pero tiene tratar un poco. The problem is that many people from the US, especially whites, don’t like people who aren’t also from the States. It’s something I could never understand as I live in Miami, Florida and live with people from everywhere. All I want is that people try to speak in the language of their team. If you can’t, fine, but you gotta try a little. [Edited on 10.12.2007 7:15 PM PDT]
