Halo 2 remake on the way?
IGN: A new rumor suggests that 343 Industries is developing a Halo 2 Anniversary edition. According to the UK print edition of Official Xbox Magazine, "Following the success of remake Halo Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2 Anniversary."

Thoughts? Would you be happy with a remake? Or should Halo 2 only be remembered for how it was back in the day? I don't think an HD remake could ever make Halo 2 as it good it used to be. Playing online just ins't the same anymore.

I have mixed feelings about this. If pulled off correctly, then yes, I want one. It must have its own multiplayer. CEA had the Reach multiplayer, which was somewhat annoying, and Halo 2 was such an amazing game because it was tailored so well for multiplayer. It must be kept as such, lest the whole appeal of a remake be destroyed. I didn't play online a whole lot (not even on my own account), but system link parties were some of the best fun I've had in my life. Not to trash the new multiplayer elements (with loadouts and such, I actually love these additions), but they shouldn't be included. Keep the original Halo 2 balance and feel. Some glitches, like super jumps, should be kept. These were truly part of the entertainment experience. [Edited on 08.09.2012 1:23 AM PDT]
