Thoughts? Would you be happy with a remake? Or should Halo 2 only be remembered for how it was back in the day? I don't think an HD remake could ever make Halo 2 as it good it used to be. Playing online just ins't the same anymore.

There is only one possible way mp can be brought back without 'splitting the fanbase', which is in itself a terrible excuse because there is no cohesion (unless you count the people that blindly move on with each game). Each Halo games gains it's own followers. I myself am loyal to CE first and foremost. If 'splitting the fanbase' is still being considered by 343 (major facepalm), then H2's mp would have to be offline and system link for it to be brought back. Hopefully that is the case (I'll take my chances with inaccurate graphics overlay) because I'd rather not put up with a copy mp that has limited options... My first experience of Headlong was on Anniversary. It was not pleasant. Mines? Who the heck places mines on maps? I can see that being in a custom map but really now, in the default map? I was also disappointed with Anniversary Timberland. CE and H2's mp deserves better than small scale or limited (didn't Headlong have some dynamic stuff?) maps or to be degraded by extra noise and clutter.
