H2 vs H3

Does anyone else agree that the battles in H2 were far more intense than in H3? Maybe I'm just not used to the game play yet. For instance,When you no scoped someone they DROPPED, but in H3 they just *flop*. I felt the intensity of my weapons far more in H2. Thoughts? [Edited on 09.27.2007 5:20 PM PDT]

  • Halo 2 had way smaller maps than Halo 3, that's part of the reason.

  • I believe he is talking about the ragdoll/dying effects rather than the battles themselves. I partly agree that in H2 when you snipe someone they would do a flip from the head shot. Agree more with telengard that halo1 had some awesome ragdoll/dying effects, with the spinning camera to make it all the more dramatic.

H3 is much more intense and more fun. H2 was nothing but frustration. Be it the maps, narrow FOV, you name it. Not really noticing the intensity as you speak of. H1 had the best sniper drop BTW. The spin of the camera as someone went down from a head shot. The havok ragdolls stink compared to the H:CE's physics engine. ~telengard

  • What was felt in H2 was the crappy rag doll system they had, H3 has a much better rag doll system so once you get used to someone realistically falling down from getting shot you'll feel better ^^

  • I disagree...Halo 2 had lots of small scale burst of intensity...this game is falt out epic, with action happening all around you. I like it better this way. *Nibbles on kitten*
