IWHBYD Pathway revealed?
Ok, i think I know how to get it, or at least start us off in the right direction, but its extremely complicated:
Ok, at the very beginning of "The covenant", run past the enemies and aim your spartan laser at the anti-air wraith tank. Shot it dead so that the Hornet that spawns flys around in a large circle. Proceed to kill the enemies around you.
Next, when all the enemies are dead, equip yourself with two plasma pistols. Here's where it gets hard. You must time your shot correctly so that the hornet falls closest to the canyon wall. I was able to do it once. On the second try now, very difficult.
When your charged shot hits the hornet, the hornet should power down and begin decending. continue firing charged shots at it so that it does not repower.
When it hits the ground (it needs to hit the ground as if it were landing), jump onto its roof. If you do not do this, then the hornet will flip itself and you will die. You cannot enter the cockpit, you must be on the roof.
Now, the hornet should fly upwards if you shot it at the right spot. It will fly above the canyon wall which you shoudl now jump on. Upon jumping on the canyon wall go right. This is as far as I got. I went left which turned out to be the wrong way to go, causing me to do it again!
You cannot shoot the driver out of the cockpit, and the hornet ALWAYS spawns. There is never a time when it does not. I am currently doing it on normal difficulty.

Wow im so glad it got found! Long hours of searching random spots and many many headaches are at an end i suppose. To be honest, i will miss the hunt though. Lets start finding all the easter eggs, Bungie is super good at hiding them. -blam!- there is still one in Halo2 that hasnt been found.

You can do it with skulls i just did it with grunt birthday party.

Again, i must pass on my most sincere gratitude. I have now gotten all thirteen skulls, thanks to this topic, and halo community members everywhere who figured this out. Also, I am glad to have taken part of the hunt. I first started reading when the page count was about twenty. When I finished those twenty pages, it was around forty. But I managed to catch up and post a post or two. The game hasn't been out for four days and we find the most hidden skull ever? That was supposed to take "a long time"? We are truly hardcore. Tru7ly.

I hope bungie added some more hidden content similar to the old soccer ball and scarab gun, hopefully there is more to find than meets the eye.

Anyone know why my halo rings arn't making noise when I jump through them? I tried the sequence anyways and it didn't work... any ideas?

Lmao i do feel bad though that we figured it out so fast. Then again im enjoying my helmet and people have been asking all night how do you get that helmet!? I just say you have to get all the skulls...not that one of them is hard to find haha.

I wonder how bungie is going to react to the finding of this skull so quickly... damn. I bet they didn't expect us to find it for at least a couple of weeks, if not months. And here we located the damn thing within 4 days of the release date. Amazing work, guys. Great job thinking outside of the box on this one... Kinda funny how we had to literally jump through hoops to get it, though. >_<

i jsut had the most weirdest thery go on halo on easy.....when johnson dies bash his head the same amour of times as the skull so like 7...bcoz theres 7 skulls OR bash his head the same amount of times as the skuls you have unloked yourself....then after that press bthe pik up button

Damn, way to go guys. I had thought I was lost about finding it. I wish I had been here for the discovery, I had was helping my friend co-op our way through the game. Woo, finally get that Hayabusa helmet.

there is a video posted earlier that you can DL to your xbox and watch it in ur theater also the armor will unlock by getting all the achievements i.e. 1000 g's

So somebody said that the skulls were the key to unlocking all the armor perms, but I have every skull now (THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO WORKED SO HARD ON FINDING THESE), but there's still some locked armor. What else needs to be done, if anyone knows.

Lol I tried 4 times, finally got it. First time I did it I didn't kill truth, Second time I did it, I was reading the posts and something about 2 1's instead of 1 1 so I thought try out the 2 1's... and third time I got the skull and saved and quit then read a post that said do not save and quit... so I'm pretty frustrated now so I try ONE MORE TIME and I finally got it WOO ME!! :D

Great job guys. I got it about an hour or so ago when I got home. I just need to get the skull by using the grav lift on The Ark to get my helm. For all of you who can't get it. I found out you can't just run through it, as it won't activate it. I accidentally messed up at the 272 portion, by just running under it and jumping up , not actually "clearing" the ring. You must actually jump through the ring. Also, on the portion that's 1 , 1.... it doesn't matter which way you jump through... I jumped through it, turned around, then jumped through it again and I activated it. A few key points that everyone should know: 1) You must have gotten the cutscene after the light-bridge. 2) You can die as many times as you want, but not while you're jumping the rings 3) You have to make it back to the elevator and get the checkpoint, but you do not have to kill everyone. I accidentally left a few survivors while sweeping, and still got it 4) As stated earlier, you must jump through the rings. (( Bungie has us jumping through hoops to get this cursed skull )) 5) The direction you jump through the hoops does not matter. 6) After you jump through the entire sequence, all of the hoops will start to flash at 5 second intervals. Just go back to the light bridge and the skull will be waiting. 7) The correct sequence is: 4 5 6 5 7 6 5 4 1 2 3 2 7 2 1 1 3 4 6 7 5 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 using 1 as a reference point as the first ring closest to the elevator 8) This skull will NOT give you an achievement. Finding ALL (Gold and Silver) skulls will unlock the Hayabusa Helm. Congrats to all of you who have worked hard. This is definitely a momentous occasion.
