Failed to load content? Don't get it
connot play game in campaign, will not load game says " Players failed to load content. any help?

I am playing on legendary btw. I played the crap out of this game since release on heroic beat it on that and never had one single issue. Now since two days ago I cannot load any maps on legendary single player. Im getting really poed about the lack of response from bungie or ms about this issue. It seems really wide spread. I have a hard time believing all our console have died and half the game works and the other doesnt.

This problem continues unabated. I am so pissed. I spoke with 1800-4my xbox. they did nothing. I wrote the "fine people" at Microsoft as directed by the help page, if the suggestions don't fix the problem. They replied by copy pasting that same web page. The email included the paragraph with the instructions to write them if the page didn't help. WOW. then I replied again explaining that I was a lawyer and that I felt they were opening themselves up to lawsuit by selling damaged software and then pissing on the customers who had the audacity to complain. They responded to that email with a generic explanation that they couldn't give each customer a personal reply because it took too much time but that my complaint would be logged with all the others in a database that would later be culled by customer service for input on how to improve customer service. By the way, NOT THE TOPIC OF MY EMAIL. I want my -blam!- game to -blam!- work. i don't feel like that is a lot to ask. From reading literally hundreds of complaints and more than a couple websites, I think the problem stems from a lack of harddrive space adequate enough to run the disc. This causes disc read errors at points when a large amount of memory is required for the running of the disc. In other words a default error. I have exchanged five discs. that is not an exaggeration. i was very hopeful this was a disc problem. I think the reason it only affects some users is because of the differences between 360s as per release date. I bought my xbox the week it came out. I had it updated when I got the three rings of death but maybe it didn't get updated enough. BTW, my game runs perfectly without the harddrive attached. I can play through the entire game, just can't save. Also, can't play on the internet because I don't have a saved profile b/c no memory card. This is everything I have and know. Please someone continue this thread and if there is any fix/patch/anything repost. I know the temptation, once you are made whole, is to enjoy the game and forget about our broken friends left behind like enemies slain on the field...but please, give a hand. I am dying here. I am having the same problem too. As with many other people, I have tried to load the Ark and it doesn't work. It will go slowly from 1% to 20% and then go back to zero. I am presuming bungie are ignoring this issue, maybe we should make a new topic which directly addresses bungie and write all our usernames down so they can't ignore the issue and realise the extent? Anyone think the petition topic would do good in making bungie recognise the issue? [b]TOPIC: BUNGIE - WIDESPREAD LOADING PROBLEM[/b] Then we all write our names down. No mine still wont work and I really do not think its the disc or my xbox console. And whats the point of playing without your hard drive on.lol All the first five missions load on mine no problem. But Floodgate to halo dont load. Note I was playing through on legendary getting skulls and going to get all the terminals. I beat the game and played it since launch on heroic never once had this issue. I have a hard time believing its my console. As you said it loads slowly to 20 percent then does it again and then says failed to load. This needs addressed. Even if they found its something to do with our consoles at least then we have a definitive answer and know they cared enough to research the problem. Note i never had any issues with this second 360 i have had since early 2006. I got my first at launch. Someone said about running system set up again anyone try that?

My first disc failed on me 3 days after launch date, then I got this second one which worked fine until today. I noticed on both discs that the scratches are identical. They're not really terrible, but they are there. Is it the scratches or the disc itself that has issues? I really don't know, but I do know I will be swapping my 360 and my halo 3 disc AGAIN tomorrow. I can't get all the skulls or "marathon man" because half of the campaign levels won't load. Bungie, Microsoft, please, help. Replacing buggy discs with more buggy discs is not a solution. I think very soon you will get sick of the phrase "Finish the Fight."

Just had the same problem even though I have been playing it for weeks, have completed the game and played more than 50 games on line. Sort it out Microsoft!

I Suffer this problem. Its not my disc, works perfectly without hard drive. I've beaten campaign, played over 200 matchs. why bungie. why...Bump for great justice

I've beat it on normal and heroic, trying to beat it on legendary, but The Storm, The Covenant, and Cortana/Floodgate won't load. it will go up to 20% loaded, then back to 0. It's really annoying. My disc DOES have a large circular scratch in it. I suspect my xbox of foul play. Everything else works fine though.

I'm having the same problem I can't load the last level it just goes up to 17& then 20% then back to 0, sometimes when I pause the game when there is a lot of action going on my xbox sounds like its scrathing the disk and then it freezes up for a bit, has anyone else experienced this?

Same Problem. I dont know what OTHER levels I can't load. but Floodgate cannot load. I havnt been any farther than the 5th level so I dont know if i can load Ark, or Halo but all my MP maps and everything else works fine except, Floodgate. Voted in the poll, hoping for Bungie to hear us out.

I hav just phoned microsoft and there sending me a replacement harddrive. IF u phone then ask for the supervisor and tell him the problem and u ACTUALLY GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT IT.

This needs a bump. I have exchanged 3 copies of Halo 3, sent in my Xbox 360 for repairs, received a new replacement Xbox 360, and I still get the "Players failed to load content" message when I try to load any map when playing either single or multi player. I have tried to clear my Xbox 360 cache and the game still wont work. When I do play without my hard drive I can load up and play the single player game. Does this mean my hard drive is incompatible with Halo 3? Is my hard drive somehow corrupted, even though there is no Halo 3 saved games or data? What am I supposed to do? If this game can be patched, please dont hesitate to release one. lol, my disc is in perfect shape, without a small rip, yet everytime i try to play Pit in for instance matchmaking it just changes maps, if it was isolation i would've been okay with that, yet this isn't the only problem. I can't load 2 maps in campaign either, Crow's nest and tsavo highway :S I want to get my skulls!

Sorry to say but you have to clear your cache and delete some stuff off your HDD especially if you have a 20gig like me..I had the same message.

This happened to me when i got it on the 25th. The first thiing that i did was sign out and sign back in. Idk if it helped but thats what im saying. The second thing is that i removed my harddrive and turned on my xbox again and it worked fine. I finished the fight offline then later that day. I did it again online with my friends. i hope this helps.
