I just got a Guitar..... I need help.

i got a epiphone g-400 http://www.epiphone.com/default.asp?ProductID=24&CollectionID=3 i think it has one of the nicest tones for the songs i play. points to help u get good -try learning scales like that one guy said -try learning songs by ear before checking out the tab -my friends say lessons help but i taught my self -learn new chords and try shifting from one chord to another -have fun Jimi Hendrix = God
