No ranked Big Team again? This is the main reason that I quit H2 multiplayer. I fully understand why Bungie cut down the original BTB Skirmish/Slayer at the end of H2's life cycle, but why not resurrect it for H3? There's going to be something like a gazillion people playing matchmaking in Halo3, and I imagine that at least [i]some[/i] of those people would be interested in a large, competitive playlist. My most favorite experiences have been in BTB Skirmish, and the original Big Team Battle before that...but hell, i won't bother with the details anymore. Check my other posts if you're interested in rant material. Anyway, my point is I won't be among the millions of people out there playing Halo3 at launch without my ranked Big Team. I'll be picking up H3 [b]used[/b] this time around.

I and my team already ahd plans for playing BTb as our team of 8 on September 25th but now bungie ruined that. Now its going to suck because no ranked BTB = boredom, because it removes an option for us. No Offense but Bungie is HORRIBLE at Marketing. It just so happens im taking a class on Marketing right now and veery time we talk about the negative side of marketing with businessed i think of bungie because they over hype their product, overprice their product, dont satisfy the customer and many more. I shoudl be in charge of halo3 god dammit

My only complaint is social slayer rockets, the btb unranked seems awesome, objectives will become more important in unranked games because of exp. points. I like that multi-team is back, but it sucks that it's not teams of 3. I also have a bad feeling that we may never get btb ranked, it NEVER surpassed the bottom 3 spots in H2 mm, dwindled on for 3 years(one of my personal favorites though and I would have played it in H3) we can hope, but don't hold your breath.

There's so many features in Halo 3, you won't even have time to worry about BTB not being ranked until 2 months from now. Just chill and everything will work out for the best.

im more mad about not being able to hear your enemies voice chatter in ranked matches, that actual was useful at times to sneak into a base and overhear their plans...im hurt by this.

why isnt BTB ranked is my question. i dont see a reason why it shouldnt be. can someone message me a good reason there shouldnt be BTB ranked? A lot of people are going to be upset and angry because of this so hopefully it will become ranked soon cause i know i am . and team snipes too. Hopefully this is just so Bungie can get things straight and test ideas and stuff and they'll add them in the future. and as for not being able to hear ememy talk, it was nice to have it, but then what's the point of talking with your teammates if your enemies can hear you sometimes? Ok no one else said anything about this. Only 5 people in rumble pit? WTF? Why? that's less than the beta! And in the beta if even 2 guys quit you spent half the game trying to find each other! Or some jackass would grab the sniper and pick people off until time ran out. Bad idea.

Ok i doubt you are going to take the time to read this but i am going to outline the flaws in your matchmaking. 1.Team Slayer-when you want to play team slayer it means you want to play slayer and thats it not shotguns and snipes or rockets thats stupid i gaurentee you will get many complaints about this. just a warning though 2.There is no hardcore. what the f*k were you thinking??????? 3.FFA should be only slayer not oddball what is that? 4. You should add a 1v1 to your rank since there no connection host? p.s i havet plyed it yet but from the videos gurdian looks nothing like lockout and is geometricaly not as good. thats what people liked about lockout not what you tried to do. also it dosent look like you have any small maps they all look big. are there even any FFA maps for mlg or not? theu all look unblanced. you should highly consider making a midship remakebut a real one not like lockouts.

First off, wasn't there a newbie playlist where people above a certain level can't get into? It might be a good idea to put that in because best buy is offering free XBL Sept 25th-27(?)th and lots of new people will be in game ( Too bad I have work on the 26th and 27th [b]:( [/b]) . You want the new people's impressions to be good, and you don't want them getting owned the first game and never coming back. Anyway, the playlists seem pretty good off-launch, but I have to agree with everyone else. BTB should be ranked, it's more fun that way. But then I guess Bungie wants to see how much people play BTB first, and then make it ranked later on. And where did Team Hardcore and Team Snipers go? Just wondering... Good update nonetheless though :) Well that's my 2 cents.

BTB will possibly remain unranked until their networking systems can figure out what hosts are better than others so they can work properly; as what was stated in lukems update. They will then increase the team numbers up to 8v8 instead of 6v6. Let go of Halo 2... Halo 3 is the new supremacy of awesomess. Quit your whining or don't play. lukems, where's the banning-o-randomness? People are still throwing in the "ever so intellectual" phrase of (first)... Show them the attention they splirt to deserve.

So Basically Bungie , Infection was made for custom's only ? Seriously SWAT and Snipers should be back , unranked (social ?) . And More gametypes in ranked games , why can't we occasionally play Rocket in 4 v 4 slayer , why can't we occasionally play Tower 0 Power in BTB , is against your rules to play doubles , with CTF ? You guys have room for 2 FFA's but not SWAT ?
