I'm a girl who plays Halo a lot. Do guys hate chicks playing?
I play HALO a lot and I am pretty good or okay, And sometimes guys are pretty nice, welcoming, or cool with me. But some guys get all crazy and Hostile, What's up? GSXRK6 gamertag

I don't know what guys you're talking about, being hostile and all that. I know that a lot of guys give a lot of attention to female gamers. That's expected, because female gamers aren't fully accepted yet. However, I really can't say I've seen a lot of guys be hostile to girls online. I guess that they might say something like, "you must be fat and ugly." I've heard that one before. In fact, me and my friends have also joked about this in our time as well. But those guys are just insecure. Maybe they've never really had a close relationship with a girl, or maybe they had a really bad one.

Mmmmm some of the dudes you have played against have been crazy and / or hostile. Pretty much par for the course unfortunately for many players you find online, pretty much it has nothing to do with your being a woman. Praying that the personal "banhammer" / avoid player forever function works like I hope it will.....please please please.

come on now. We all know girls don't exist on teh interwebzorz....unless they're stripping. j/k I've only played 2 matches with a girl in it. One was really good and got first and the other was 14 yrs old and quit halfway through the match.

While girls are dicriminated and -blam!-ly harassed alot, I just don't like it when some girls think they can run the whole damn show just because they're a girl, but I usually have fun with girls when I play them online.

Xbox Live is essentially a social network. That's why you can host games, parties, etc. Think of it as a chatroom of competition with guns and 'nades and seven foot tall character models. It's not exactly creepy or lame, though, it would be more socially acceptable to meet someone in-person instead of via cat5 cables. Eventually, Xbox Live will become just as sociable as AOL did (or was--I hate AOL). I hope they don't turn it into a social chatterbox, but it is still a place to meet new people and friends so people meeting for relationship reasons isn't too much of a stretch.

Guys want girls to be just below them on skill (for when we have a girl on our team, we don't want to lose) but never better than us. Sports and Gaming have always been the guys domains and now with girls seeping into both, we are losing our space. It's not a big deal to me, personally, I love girls on Xbox Live. Most of them are funny or naive, and though it is rather a-hole-ish, I will mess with them, but never anything particularly mean, or purposefully hurtful. Girls, as fair warning though, if you do flaunt something in a guy's face (me included) about being a girl and killing/beating/being-better-than you probably will get cussed out, even from those guys that seem not to even make notice of a female playing. Guys don't like to lose, plain and simple. Guys losing to a girl, well that's almost an insult. A girl making notice of a guy losing to a girl, that [i]is[/i] an insult, and well, guys will reciprocate it ten-fold.
