Halo 2 480p HUD Issues

We are currently working to investigate the HUD display issues that some of you are experiencing. To help expedite our efforts, we'd like to get some additional information from people who have this problem. If you are experiencing the HUD being cut off when playing Halo 2 in widescreen mode, here's what you can do to help: 1. Please reply to this post with the Make, Model and Size of your television set. 2. Please include information about your Xbox settings - i.e. Widescreen = ON, 480p = ON Thanks for your help. [Edited on 11/11/2004 4:14:02 PM]

 • Several people have brought this up before (this thread and others) but I was wondering if anyone has done a screen to screen comparison between Halo and Halo 2. I'm talking about the 'zoomed in' look of the point of view in Halo 2. I know this isn't really a bug like the 480p issue, or maybe not even a reasonable complaint like the distorted HUD in widescreen, but I'm simply curious as the view really does feel 'cramped' to me while playing Halo 2... something I don't remember feeling any time I've played through Halo. I've seen most of the screenshots that people have been good enough to take, arrange for comparison, and post - which clearly show the 480p problems (in 4:3 and 16:9) and the distorted in widescreen (480i and 480p), but they all appear to be at the same relative level of 'zoom' despite the viewing format. Since I don't have a camera handy to do the job right and get a relatively unbiased look at both Halo and Halo 2 side by (both 4:3 and 480i to be fair), I was wondering if anyone else has yet? Again, I realize this is more of a personal preference thing and not a bug/error/etc. (both of which I am experiencing too and have reported as per SketchFactor's instructions), but since I've seen several people mention it I figure I'm not the only one wondering is the point of view really that much more zoomed in, because it definitely feels that way - or is it just perception.
