6. Fear, Loathing and Myth Plugins One of the reasons why Bungie’s games last for so long is because they are so easy to alter, modify and customise - Myth is no exception. When Bungie placed the editors on the Myth II CD, and community went wild. Fear is used to edit the tags (graphics, sounds, physics and other game items) while loathing is used to make, script and populate the levels. Alterations to Myth are called plugins – there are many on the Internet, taking Myth in directions even Bungie wouldn’t have thought of. Also, Project Magma have not only been bugfixing the Myth engine, they have also enhanced it, adding features like increased map limits, improved graphics, TFL physics and new coop maps. Here is some of the more popular mods and where to get them. The Five Legends Play TFL through using only 5 heros. Mazzarin's Demise IV A crazy co-op level, fun for many players. See how long you can survive. Myth:TFL Multiplayer Map Pack Oldskool multiplayer maps. Requiem of the Dead Another co-op map. WW2 A total conversion set in WW2. M4 An ambitious plugin to continue the myth story. Not yet complete but looking good! [Edited on 2/28/2005 6:23:34 PM]
