I see all this renewed interest in mapmaking and I'm 'reminded of me in the OS Classic days attempting to convert Goldeneye maps to marathon. . . . I had a perfect stack made that felt like stack until i realizeld the engine couldn't handle ledges! doh! And my attempts at a sequel to 5-D space fell flat b/c of how difficult it is to overlap multiply "dimensions" over a single point in space when you're mapmaking in 2d. You had to get everything perfect before you went onto the next layer. ::grumbles::
Is mapmaking on the mac still using Forge and Anvil, or is there a much better tool from aleph one that is considered "the replacement?"
