Yea, from the sounds of it, i dont think they were using secondary standbying, unless ur clock timer stopped. more likely, there is a glitch you can do with an elite in a warthog. i'm not sure how to do it but the elite quickly enters/exits the passenger seat and somehow the system "loses track" of the player. on everybody's screen but his, he is still standing outside the warthog, but on his screen, he is running around the level and taking the flag. somehow when he grabs the flag, he regains control of his body back at the base near the warthog, and he brought the flag with. so the game said the flag was taken, and about 10 seconds later they scored, and you and your team were left clueless. it's one of the many glitches Bungie is trying to fix.
