Implying I'm a troll and not at least decently regarded on the forums. My stance on ADD has been the same always. The side effects of medication are frequently more harmful than any supposed benefit that the children garner, benefits they could have achieved on their own without medication. Considering depression, anxiety, and sadness are common symptoms of ADD medication, it doesn't surprise me the OP's name is "Emo Joe".

  • lol I'm not now nor have I ever been emo. "Emo Joe" is a carry-over from what I thought was a clever gamertag when I first signed up for Xbox Live five years ago. I've since changed it there, and will probably change it here too now that it seems like I can do that. That said, yes, I know from personal experience that ADD meds do have side-effects. The Adderall I take suppresses my appetite, but it also gives me focus like you wouldn't believe. It's not a placebo, I've tested myself on that. When I'm on my meds, I'm a completely different person than when I'm not on them. But I'm still eager to look for another way to live with my condition.
