Halo 2 Piracy
Last night a pirated copy of Halo 2 was released onto the internet. Needless to say we think this really sucks. Aside from years of hard work being stolen from us, we've gone to great lengths to ensure that the details of the Halo 2 campaign remain a mystery for players to experience for themselves on November 9th. Microsoft is currently engaged in a full scale investigation and to those foolish enough to partake in this piracy, you will soon witness the firepower of this fully operational battle station.
Members of the Bungie community - we need your help. The Underground Army is being called into action; this is not a drill. Anyone who has information regarding the leak of the game or individuals or websites promoting the download of these illegal files is asked to please contact us by sending email to [b]piracy@microsoft.com[/b] or calling 1-800-RULEGIT. We also ask that you help us minimize the spoilers for those opting to wait for the retail release by refraining from posting screens, talking about the story and deleting any such posts you encounter. Many of you have already been actively tracking down and forwarding links to us and we thank you for your help.

Also the name of the one that upploaded it is elite, at least on a few that I have seen.

Sweet mother of god. Those greedy bastards, WTF! I think one of the best things about HALO 2 is the wait. Sure im anxious...but come on! Seriously. Anyone who would do this is NOT a Bungie fan. Nor do they deserve to be. Curse whoever did this. I am upset, and i have so much respect and appreciation for Bungie and the hard working people who put their life into this game. Shame on whoever did this and i hope they burn in hell. God bless Bungie.

Halo two is only 28 days away for me and I have been waitin for 3 years for this game so if some one told me a twist or part of the story coz all of this time waiting wud bu spoilt. I guess thats why they are called spoilers. I don't even wnna read a magazine incase it has spoilers. P.S. I am a boy and i'm not -blam!- P.S.S. This news is absolutely mind boggling. I can't understand why anyone would pirate this game. This isn't any ordinary game, this is [i]Halo 2[/i] for crying out loud. I hope that whoever did this was not a bungie fan, because it makes me sick to think of a fan betraying bungie like that... I can't imagine who would do it. For those of you asking question about how they are able to play it on their PC, that does seem interesting... My guess is that they aren't playing it on their PC, but merely using the PC as a means to download the game dvd, and then burn a copy themselves. I'm pretty sure the xbox has protection against this, so they must be playing on modded 'boxes. IF that's how they're doing it, it would seem that this pirated copy is limited in the number of people who can actually use it. But, I have no real idea how these things works, so I donno. Are there xbox emulators for PC? I think, though, that this is the first time I'm really glad that bungie is now part of Microsoft. That sure gives them a lot more fire power in this area of tracking-down bad guys. I'm sorry that this had to happen, bungie. But it's still going to be a great, amazing game on November 9th. Thank you all for what you've given to this community.

Obviously, someone on the inside had to of leaked the game, intentionally, or otherwise. EX: Bungie employee A sends the files for Halo 2 to his buddy who has an xbox emulator on their computer, and that buddy wasn't suposed to say anything. Buddy can't help it, and has to send it to a friend. The guy forgets to mention "Oh don't show anyone else" Or the guy just doesn't want to listen to that.

I might not be an extremely active user but Halo is undoubitably my favorite game, it is without doubt a work of art and that makes its makers artists.....although not as excellent I consider myself somewhat an aritst, or at least a very creative person when it comes to digital composition, and I know how it feels when someone steals what you've been working on with passion for so long whoever the pirates are, wherever they are, I hope mycrosoft's legal staff makes an example out of them
