Halo 2 Piracy
Last night a pirated copy of Halo 2 was released onto the internet. Needless to say we think this really sucks. Aside from years of hard work being stolen from us, we've gone to great lengths to ensure that the details of the Halo 2 campaign remain a mystery for players to experience for themselves on November 9th. Microsoft is currently engaged in a full scale investigation and to those foolish enough to partake in this piracy, you will soon witness the firepower of this fully operational battle station.
Members of the Bungie community - we need your help. The Underground Army is being called into action; this is not a drill. Anyone who has information regarding the leak of the game or individuals or websites promoting the download of these illegal files is asked to please contact us by sending email to [b]piracy@microsoft.com[/b] or calling 1-800-RULEGIT. We also ask that you help us minimize the spoilers for those opting to wait for the retail release by refraining from posting screens, talking about the story and deleting any such posts you encounter. Many of you have already been actively tracking down and forwarding links to us and we thank you for your help.

First of all IDIOT the game cannot be played on a pc. It can be downloaded and then burned to a dvd. Then you have to mod your xbox which means opening it up, installing a new chip and installing evolution X. just to get to play it. So the only real problem is that people are going to post spoilers, not that it was stolen. Only a select few could even play it. -loyal but tight ass fan Mortiferous

I'm trying to find out as much as I can about this...Knowledge is power. I'm hoping this story makes it to the news so more people will know about the situation, but it may not because they might not want more people to know about for fear of more asshats taking what they don't deserve. I never cared about the music piracy issue, but this has really taken me for some reason. We can't let this happen again! Bungie, I will come to your HQ and work as a security guard, I'll work for freaking peanuts, we can't let things like this happen, and I swear that if I find someone who has pirated this game, they're ass will become very intimately aquainted with my foot.

Wow....I'm a mazed at who would go so low to get this game even at a stage where there is a month left. It said the language was in Frech for the pirated version, so I was probably leaked while in Europe or something. Sorry to hear that Bungie but the true fans will stand by you.

I just found out about the news and it makes me sad how someone will try to take advantage from the hard work of others. As of now I'll begin an intense search and make sure I take down as many of them as possible. Halo is too powerful to fall for something like this. Bungie you are the best, and we as true gamers will ensure that it remains that way.

They'll release what they want and can in the usual weekly updates. There'll be a full article in the November issue of OXM about the single player story. After that, all we have to wait for is the game. Also, I know this Halo 2 is going to be a great, fantastic game. The best that's out there for FPS's so far. But best game ever? I dunno. Bungie is going to release games just as cool as Halo in the future. Bungie creating the best games out there is in the cards. They're the game company that takes gaming seriously and that loves to keep fans in the game story. But after Halo 2 settles down...to a conversational roar (about 3 years), we'll be ready for what comes next from Bungie. Again all my own opinion..
