Did Bungie Lie To Us? Halo 3 doesn't look like what they promised. Its true
Ok.. so when the game HALO 3 was first announed, there was a documentary video came out on the MarketPlace and I believe its still there. And the dev were like "Thats Halo 3, thats how its going to look like, that is the engine". But now when you compare the screen shots.
Halo 3 doesn't look like anything like the first video.
You be the judge.

The shine is gone, the visor is just plain yellow image with lines. You cant see your own refections through it like before. I can't belive, that most of you don't realize it's differant... the Halo 3 E3 2006 was the WOW trailer, it was almost CGI, and Bungie was all Yeh sure, that's the Game engine, that's what it will look like, over a year later, it does just look like Halo 2, except, I do appreciate the detail, but it looks like Halo, except Really awsome and next-gen ish, but still halo, It does NOT look like the awsome that was Halo 3 2006 we were lied to, but hey, that's marketing, everyone else does it, and the Game is still the same, just the graphics are differant but that's it. we were lied to, but, it's marketing so get over it.

the game isnt supposed to look like real life. maybe you just have a weird taste in graphics because 99 percent of people i talk to are amazed by the graphics. im a halo fan yes, but i am not blinded by that. i know great graphics from pretty ok graphics, and halo 3 has great graphics. it seems you have too high of an expectation for the graphics in halo 3. it seems that you want them to be next next gen. and it seems that you are just looking for something to complain about.

"Better" is subjective, anyway, the artists are entitled to their opinion, and really, it's their opinion that matters most, yes, the E3 2007-onward version may lack all the scratches and nicks it had before, but there's no logical way you can call either better, the same model was used in E3 2006 and both E3 2007, all that topped both off were normal-mapping, bump-mapping, HDR, etc.
