Lets not forget that our master cheif has slaughtered thousands of covenant in his time, hes a marksman, a martial artist, and in a state-of-the-art powered armor suit. MC would have to mess up bad to get beat by Xytan.

Xytan will probably play it honorably, the Chief plays it smart. Xytan will probably charge at the Chief with swords without fear of death and will cut through any sort of resistance along the way. But, of course, the Chief will play it smart (and be like anybody that's smart in the modern day) and get inside a trusty Scorpion... BYE BYE ELITE!

Xytan is to the Elites what the Cheif is to humans. The Chief is a match for a normal elite. Except for the fact that Xytan was probably reduced to his base constitute atoms when the NOVA exploded, he could beat the hell out of the Chief after soup and be back in time for the Entree.
