Very nicely done, i really like this topic. ( i am not complaining) but i am stuck at 36 on my main account, and have a very low Mu (in the -1000's) mainly because this account i had since i started, and im not gunna lie, i sucked when i started. But because of this reason, i play opponents that are X levels lower than my hightest skill (x being anything from 17-36) and i tend to win these matches. I call the low Mu and high sigma (where it takes 20+ games to rank up) Level-Lock. When i first noticed that when i would run SWAT or Slayer with a group of friends that are 10-20 highest skill in the playlist, they would rank around me and i would sit and chill at a highest skill of 28. But, when i play with 35-50 i will rank up extremely quickly. I decided to make a new account to test how leveling works, and the first 42 games i won and i got to lvl 33. Im like, wow. So, im still working on my Mu, but because i have a very low sigma as well, also in the negatives, it is very hard to work with my old account. I dont play like a Commander (Grade 2), i play more on the lines of Brigadier with a highest skill of 48.
So i do know how this system works.
And i do understand shortcomings.
And i would like to say thank you for this post.
Oh yes. You can haz Recons.
Oh wait! Its not special anymore!
Oh well.
And a note to bungie,
Make a new helmet for bungie favorite and Bungie employee earners. Recon has been disgraced.
Thanks!
