Why do you have to win to keep your level is what you are asking. From what I have seen, if you have played a lot of games and finally get the next skill level, you are barely up there. If you lose the next game, you may go down. If you then win, you may go right back up. It's not really like you can get to the next level and then "relax" and lose a few and keep it, it doesn't work that way.
