Ranked: Any players on the winning team gain experience and may advance their skill level, while those on the losing team do not gain experience and may level down. Social (aka Unranked): Games do not effect experience points/ranks, and you can be put together in a game with any player. These game types disregard rank. [Edited on 12.30.2007 10:20 PM PST]
