Is the sonic adventure 2 battle dlc worth it?

It says it adds characters and stages for 2p mode but since the game isn't online isn't it a bit pointless? The only.thing I really want from it is chao karate

Hey, would anyone happen to know if they've added multiplayer options at all? Like the split-screen or the Chao Garden over Xbox LIVE?
