Cutting
I've been with my girlfriend for a few months now. Things were going well but yesterday she told me that she has been cutting herself on her arms and legs because she "feels alone". I just don't understand why people cut themselves because I guess I've never been there before. Why do you think people cut and what should I do to help my girlfriend?

If you care about her you can't leave at this point. If you did, things would get worse for her. However, if she becomes difficult and more destructive and it interferes with your daily life beyond a certain point, you will have to let her go. You can't help those who don't want it, and you shouldn't be expected to be responsible for her feelings or happiness.
