Intelligent life has never visited this planet. period.
I'll make one small example. Let's say in La La Land there is intelligent life and they have the ability to travel the stars in great distances. Let's also say they found our measly little planet among the trillions of planets which are in our own galaxy. They see our planet can support life and they see there is intelligent life populating it.
They would never come here to set foot on the surface. You know why? Because we would kill it the first time it would land out of fear just like they would if the tables were turned.
It doesn't matter though. The more realistic thing is if they existed, they would be too far for us to know they were even there and we would be too far away for them to know we were here.

Honestly, if there were another intelligent species capable of traveling across space and finding the Earth I would highly doubt they would be afraid to step on Earth because of us. We'd be a laughable joke compared to them and they would essentially do whatever the -blam!- they want because they can, and if we would try to kill them they would simply wipe us out.

But what if the aliens have mastered faster than light space travel? Distance would no longer be a barrier.
-
Impossible. Mass cannot go faster than light.
-
According to the theories we, Humankind, have contemplated. What if the alien beings have created a means to move the space and time around their spacecrafts so in essences they are standing still but the space around them is moving? Their spacecraft and bodies wouldn't be put under the massive strain of ultra fast lightspeed movement.
Let's assume for a second that your spaceship is a hypothetical one that defies physics and manages to go the speed of light. Then what would happen? At the speed of light, something very odd happens to time: It stops. Yes, it stops. If the spaceship were to reach the speed of light, it would not be able to accelerate anymore because time in relation to the spaceship would have been stopped. You also could not go forward, because time would be stopped within the spaceship. But what happens when you reach the speed of light? To your perception, time outside the spaceship goes on at the rate of infinity. Yes, infinity. So what happens when you break the speed of light? You would perceive time outside the spaceship at going *more* than infinity. This is another reason why faster-than-light travel is impossible, but it is very intriguing to think about if it was possible, what would happen in theory. So, what would happen? Obviously, it's impossible for us to comprehend time progressing at more than infinity.
Being that we mere human have not created such a craft, it is impossible to test out such theories. Look no further than the odd behavior of space itself outside of our solar system. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2012/12/03/voyager-spacecraft-reaches-last-leg-of-solar-system Scientist were astounded when Voyager One reached the outer edge of the solar system. And if mainly aspects changed several scientific theories. My point is Based on our theoretical science, yes, fast-as-light and faster-than-light travel is impossible. But our science is not as advanced as the possible science of alien civilization that could perhaps be thousand, if not, tens of thousands of year more advanced than us.

You are assuming that there are or were or will be incredibly gifted scientific alien civilization.
-
The only way to disprove the ancient astronaut theory is for the aliens to come down here and say that they didn't come to Earth in the past.
-
So dumb. How you managed to live this long to be able to type and read is beyond comprehension.
-
Aliens.
-
Well played. Well played.

sigh...

Ok, im starting to think this is a troll thread.
