Pie thread needs to go! Its setting a bad example and encouraging spam!

I dont know how many people have noticed this useless thread in the flood but I speak for alot of people when I say that thing needs to get locked, deleted and nuked out of the flood forum. Lets see why it needs to go Shall we? It's a pointless thread that encourages the mindless people in the flood forum to spam , the thread itself is spam itself , just because an employee that bypasses the profanity filter numerous times made it and it was one of the first threads ever made DOES NOT mean that it can just get away with breaking a rule almost everyone knows about. Ninjas can't do anything about it because it has been locked before but it has been reopened for NO PURPOSE WHATSO EVER! I thought Bungie.net was a place where you can have intelligent discussions with a calm community. Clearly this thread COMPLETELY defies that. Heres another reason It should get locked. A member in the flood goes and reads the rules. He notices the NO CAPS LOCK RULE. Him being a good civil person says...." Okay no caps " he then notices that thread where multiple rules are broken. He notices that then creates a thread with caps and spams in it. What happens to him? He gets banned. What happens to the ninja who banned him? They get yelled at because the user is asking why that thread is able to stay up and why they were banned? What is the ninja supposed to say? " Oh hes an employee so he gets away with it. " NO thats not how it works I know the motto " You have no rights play nice " but this goes beyond that! Shoulden't the rules mean EVERYONE has to follow them? Is that not what rules are? If people want to spam go to 4chan for christ sake keep that garbage out of here! [Edited on 03.22.2009 9:54 AM PDT]

 • The plain-and-simple truth of the situation is that no moderator that doesn't have a certain deathwish (unless you're Recon) will go up against drabomniable and his decision to make the thread. That's like the employees rallying and overriding the decision of the boss- bad idea. As much as any of us might dislike the thread, they don't have the authority to actually take it down. They would need to get an employee's permission, perhaps even drabominable's permission, to lock it before they could act. Well... no, they could act otherwise, but I highly doubt, as said above, that any mod would be crazy enough to go up against an Employee if they actually know that person is an employee. That means, childrens, that it's probably going to be staying up for the time being. And no amount of complaining or logical discussion will change this. EDIT: Well apparently I just got owned. Apparently Recon does have a large enough deathwish. Go Recon, go! We'll never forget you! [Edited on 03.22.2009 10:27 AM PDT]
